Other Arts & Crafts Resources – In the Bay Area

Artistic License
This is a guild of amazingly talented individuals: professional artisans, whose work continues time-honored traditions of crafts for the built environment. The work of Artistic License members promotes the highest standards for period architecture, interiors, and the decorative arts; encompassing restoration, renovation, and newly-interpreted period revival design. I have highlighted some here, but you can also check out their website for a larger list of highly skilled artisans.
Arts & Crafts Period Textiles. At Dianne Ayre’s studio you’ll find kits for pillows and runners, as well as being able to custom order a wide variety of curtains and other textiles to complement Arts & Crafts homes.

Arts & Crafts Press. Bruce Smith and Yoshiko Yamamoto have published a number of important books on various topics about the Arts & Crafts movement and its influences, especially Japonism. Yoshiko’s beautiful original designs are available as wood block prints and in a vast array of greeting cards. No longer physically in the Bay Area, but their work is featured in many shops.
